Work With Us
Wolf Den Games / Otter Creek Games is run by a small team of people. We love tabletop games and we work hard building lasting communities of players. We hire new teammates who also believe that our work is best regarded as nurturing human connection rather than merely a profit-seeking venture.

We build gaming communities for everyone and make a special point to connect with underrepresented communities. This includes women, neurodivergent people, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people of color, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities. We also don’t think we have all the answers yet. We will continually ask: “how we can do more to ensure everyone feels safe at the table?”

The day-to-day tasks of running a store can be taught to anyone. We seek people with something we can’t teach: being excited for, staying curious about, and advocating on behalf of playing tabletop games. This doesn’t mean successful candidates are necessarily deeply experienced in all areas of the hobby, they just need to have the spark and want to keep feeding it.

This point is mostly about TCG products but applies across the board. We decided from the start to avoid the secondary used product market entirely and to prioritize local players when it comes to high-demand sealed product. We don’t change our prices because the secondary market changes. These practices have resulted in a harmonious culture of play which is inherently more welcoming to new players. We also enact policies which discourage profit-seeking resellers. If you aren’t entirely sure what “singles” are, it might be a point in your favor.

As we grow, we are committed to never hiding anything from members of our team that can be legally shared. This includes the often taboo subjects of salaries, time-off planning, budget/purchasing decisions, and overall profitability. This extends to our dealings with customers. We don’t practice favoritism when it comes to low-supply/high-demand products. We set fair rules, make them clear to all customers, and we don’t bend them.
